The Team

The Preschool Team provides a supportive, play-based learning environment and adheres to the highest standards, as recognized by its NAEYC Accreditation. With low child-to-teacher ratios, team members focus on meeting each child's individual needs. The Role

The preschool is seeking a caring and professional Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher, providing essential support during this important developmental period. The role requires a collaborative team player who is passionate about supporting the social, emotional, and physical development of young children. Strong candidates will bring a positive attitude, a growth mindset, and prior experience working with young learners.

Responsibilities

Provide nurturing care to support the social, emotional, and physical needs of each child.

Maintain a consistent schedule, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Assist in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and lesson plans with the teaching team

Communicate effectively and professionally with families, including updates about children's progress and needs (via phone calls, newsletters, and conferences)

Participate in weekly team meetings and professional development opportunities to foster personal and team growth

Ensure children's safety and well-being at all times

Work Environment

Physical Demands

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and engage in activities at the child's level

Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate standard office and classroom equipment

Sitting or standing for extended periods of time

Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching to assist children

Seeing to read a variety of materials and monitor student activities

Hearing and speaking to exchange information

Reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally

This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
