The Raritan Bay Area YMCA is seeking a caring and dedicatedÂPreschool TeacherÂwith a NJ P-3, CE, or CEAS certification. Join our team in Perth Amboy, five miles from New York City, serving a community of 6,000+ members through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility programs.

Under the direction of the Preschool Director, theÂPreschool TeacherÂcreates a safe, nurturing learning environment that supports the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. Using age-appropriate curriculum and activities aligned with our YMCA values of Honesty, Caring, Responsibility, Respect, and Faith, theÂPreschool TeacherÂfosters positive relationships, promotes inclusion, and collaborates with a Teacher Assistant and team members to ensure a high-quality early childhood program.

Essential Responsibilities

Lead age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.

Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment.

Supervise and engage children, ages 3â€"5.

Build strong relationships with children, families, and team members.

Track and communicate childrenâ€™s progress.

Promote inclusion and model YMCA core values.

Salary: Â$50,000â€"$54,000 annually (10-month academic year)

$500 sign-on bonus

Bachelorâ€™s in Early Childhood Education (or related field)Âwith NJ P-3, CE, or CEAS certification.

Experience teaching Pre-K children, preferably in a daycare or early childhood setting.
