Inglewood Unified School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Instructional Aide - Preschool! Incumbents will be responsible for guiding the growth and development of children to their potential, in a positive manner. The position requires experience in a preschool setting. A high school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by enrollment in or completion of, 6 Semester units in Child Development/Early Childhood Education is also required. AT-A-GLANCE POSITION INFORMATION:
Type of position: 3.75 hours per day, 10 month, Classified Bargaining Unit Positions. The current vacancies require bilingual skill in a designated second language (Spanish)
Location: Child Development Center. School site will vary based on assignment
Salary: Range 1 on the Classified Bargaining Unit Salary Schedule ($14.00 Hourly)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
Education, Training and Experience:
Equivalent to graduation from high school
Must be enrolled or have completed 6 Semester units in Child Development/Early Childhood Education
Must take and pass the District's Proficiency Test.
Must have paid or volunteer experience in a Preschool setting
Any other combination of training and/or experience that could likely provide the desired skills, knowledge and abilities may be considered.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Some positions in this class may be required to speak a second designated language. Successful completion of the District's competency test in reading, writing, and mathematics is required before employment.

The examination process for this recruitment may be comprised of one or any combination of the following: screening of the applicant's training, background, and experience; scored evaluation of responses on a supplemental application; written examination(s); qualifications appraisal oral examination; performance examination; or technical oral examination, scored on a job-related basis. Only the most highly qualified candidates will be invited to continue in the examination process. Successful candidates who pass all parts of the examination process will be placed on the eligibility list in order of their relative merit as determined by these competitive examinations. The eligibility list for this classification will remain in effect for a period of 6 months.
