Head Start Preschool Teacher



Location: 4629 Aicholtz Road Cincinnati, Ohio 45244


Degree Required: Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education


Degree Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.


Additional Requirements Include: Pass physical examination, background check, and drug screen, and maintain required Physical/TB screen requirements


This position is a Full Time Seasonal position that will start in August 2022


Child Focus Early Childhood Division is seeking a full time Head Start Preschool Teacher to work with children ages 3 to 5 in a classroom setting.


The lead teacher is responsible for providing a learning experience that accommodates children's needs and stimulates learning across all domains of development including lesson planning, screening and curriculum implementation. The lead teacher also works with the assistant teachers to ensure children's basic needs are met and that the daily routine runs smoothly. The lead teacher establishes a partnership with families, and helps the families set and meet goals for their children and themselves.


Primary Job Responsibilities:


Establish and maintain a safe, healthy learning environment, including full supervision of children at all times, in accordance with childcare licensing requirements. Provide classroom experiences that are developmentally, linguistically, culturally and age-appropriate for the children served. Ensure classroom arrangement, materials and displays are organized and conducive to children's learning. Document children's progress through ongoing observation and direct assessment activities; use that data to plan and individualize curriculum. Model and provide direction for high school students in the early childhood high school program
